PRESENTATION

RAINCATCHER® is very effective when planting / replanting tree and shrub seedlings, because it increases the survival rate during transplantation, reduces the risk of death in the open field, improves root development, which contributes to faster growth and increased productivity, which is very important for professionals in plant growing and landscape design.

RAINCATCHER is also very effective for sowing without risk of drying out in a climate that is too arid, or for capturing morning dew in hot and humid climates. These different functions are performed by RAINCATCHER BLUE, or GREEN, or DEW.

PLANTATIONS OF ORNAMENTAL TREES

  

  • Dig a hole about 3 times larger than the root system of the tree
  • Mix the extracted soil with 200 g to 300 g of crystals per m3 of soil homogeneously
  • Fill the hole with 10 cm of mixed soil
  • Position the tree and return the remaining soil mixed in the soil
  • Finalize the filling of the surface hole with 5 cm of unmixed soil

Do not apply RAINCATCHER® without mixing with the soil under the roots of the seedling, as after the crystals absorb moisture to a gel-like state, they can destroy the stability of the future tree.

It has been observed that 200 g of RAINCATCHER® crystals per 1 m³ of soil after normal watering during the first 15 days will increase in size to a 60 liter volume of gel, which can lead to a slight push of the soil to the surface. After that, the soil in the planting hole will return to its normal state naturally as a result of watering, the volume of which can be reduced by half after the seedling has adapted to planting (12-15 days).

FRUIT TREE PLANTATIONS

 

Fruit trees are often smaller and sometimes more sensitive than ornamental trees that are mostly adapted to the area where they are planted.

For planting, we recommend the second method, which ensures the survival rate of the seedlings with a success rate of 98-99%.

Before planting a seedling of a fruit tree, its roots must be dipped into a solution of crushed granules saturated with water in a ratio of 5-7 g per 1 liter of water (the gel will not be 100% saturated with water).

 

The gel envelops the roots and adheres tightly to them, creating microflora and providing the initial supply of moisture necessary for the development of the seedling and relieving stress after transplanting.

When planting a seedling, add 50 g of RAINCATCHER® crystals to the bottom of the planting pit, which is equivalent to two matchboxes. This volume of crystals is required for soil with a clay content of at least 25%. In sandy soil, double the dose of RAINCATCHER®.

After that, water thoroughly and maintain normal watering for 15 days before the interval between waterings can be increased.

CONIFEROUS PLANTATION

  

Conifers need less water than their cousins ​​and do not like too much stagnant moisture at their roots. On the other hand, this category of trees continues to grow during the winter, which can lead to water stress in some areas where they are planted.

Therefore, we recommend planting seedlings in the same way as planting fruit trees with reduced doses.

Before planting, the roots of the seedling should be immersed in RAINCATCHER® gel solution at the rate of 5-7 g per 1 liter of water in order to create close contact with the soil after planting and ensure a sufficient initial supply of moisture.

When planting, we recommend spreading 3 g evenly at the bottom of the planting pit 15 cm deep for a small tree and 5 g at 40 cm deep for a 5 year old tree.

Thereafter, plant must be abundantly watered for several days for the RAINCATCHER® to take effect.

GRASSING

 

Whether for the establishment of a golf course, a park or a lawn at home, RAINCATCHER gives very good results. Depending on the climate, and to optimize the germination of lawn grass, use RAINCATCHER BLUE or GREEN.

The drier the climate and the sandy soil, the higher the doses will have to be revised.

In a standard environment, continental climate at European latitudes, we recommend proceeding as follows:

  • Turn the soil over with a cultivator to remove stones and weeds;
  • Evenly distribute RAINCATCHER® crystals in a dosage of 20-100 g per 1 m² of soil, dosage depending on the climate;
  • Turn the soil over again to place the RAINCATCHER® at a depth of 2 to 10 cm depending on the soil type;
  • Sow the seeds then roll the lawn;
  • Water the planted area correctly for a week;
  • As soon as the first shoots of lawn grass sprout, you can increase the intervals between waterings.

The RAINCATCHER® will be effective for 3-5 years depending on the intensity of the sunlight and therefore how quickly it biodegrades when exposed to UV radiation.

The RAINCATCHER® will produce a harmonious lawn with an elegant "green carpet" thanks to the uniform germination of seeds and the aeration it provides to the soil, all complemented by savings in irrigation water. RAINCATCHER® allows you to grow lawn grass in rocky and sandy soil, as well as soil shaded by trees.

OTHER APPLICATIONS

 

The RAINCATCHER® is an indispensable tool for any landscape designer or nursery to achieve great results while simplifying work.

Nutrient hydrogel can also be used in decorative flower beds or garden plants, as well as in any transplant / planting of seedlings and seedlings.

Watering problems often arise when creating a flower bed, which vary depending on the plants and their root length. This problem can be solved by adding a certain amount of RAINCATCHER® (Raincatcher) to each plant.

FOR PLANTS WITH SHALLOW ROOT SYSTEMS

RAINCATCHER® crystals should be mixed with the soil at a depth of 10 cm at the rate of 30-70 g per 1 m² of soil, depending on its structure (30 g for clay soils, 50 g for loamy soils and 70 g for sandy soils). After that, for at least 15 days, it is necessary to water the soil abundantly in order to activate the action of the hydrogel.

FOR PLANTS WITH DEEPER ROOT SYSTEMS (> 30 CM)

A hole must be dug 20 cm deep and the same amount of RAINCATCHER® crystals must be applied. The roots, when they begin to develop, will naturally seek contact with the water-filled RAINCATCHER® granules and germinate in them.

TRANSPLANTATION 

When replanting shrubs, RAINCATCHER® crystals should be evenly applied to the bottom of a designated hole, which is 20% deeper than the roots. We recommend using 10-20 g of product per shrub seedling, depending on the soil type, as described above.

After planting, water abundantly for 15 days to give the roots time to grow into the water-saturated nodules.

APPLICATION FOR PLANTED TREE

If some shrubs or trees show signs of drying out, you can help the plant with the RAINCATCHER® (Raincatcher) p. In this case, it is necessary to remove a thin layer of soil around the tree with signs of drying to a depth of 5 cm. Then it is necessary to saturate the crystals with water at the rate of 40 g per 10 liters of water to obtain a gel. Once the crystals have turned into granules (for such a number of crystals it can take several hours, it is better to leave them overnight), they should be distributed in a uniform layer around the shrub or tree in such a way as to fill the created notch, while leaving 2 cm surface. To protect the gel so placed from the sun's rays, it is necessary to fill the surface with suitable soil.

Usually, punctures are carried out in the root zone, or rather, on the ground, the boundaries of which are limited by the diameter of the plant crown. The number of holes, their depth and the number of RAINCATCHER® depend on the type of tree and its size.
